Move Icons in the Toolbars

All the icons can be moved in Office 2003 programs; icons can only be moved in Outlook 2007 interface. The icons in the new Office Ribbons are static. Only the Quick Access Toolbar in Office 2007 can be customized to meet your needs. Click on Access Toolbar Tutorial for in-depth information.

If you want to customize the icons on the Office 2003 toolbars and Outlook 2007 interface, you can move the icons and place them where you want.

Hold down the Alt key
Move the cursor over the icon and press the left button ... small rectangular box will display
Drag the icon to the new position .... the dark I beam indicates a slot to position the icon
Release the mouse button
Release the Alt key

The icons can be moved on any level and place.
