Display Negative Numbers in Red

Use Excel's built-in number formats to display negative values in red.

Select the cell or cells that may contain negative percentages
Right click over a cell / Select Format cells
Go to Number tab / Select Custom

In the right hand column are several choices, depending on how you choose to display the number.
To display a minus sign, type in the minus sign in front of the first # symbol.
Notice the Sample box will show you what type of result will display.

The next time you want to use this same set up,
Scroll down to the end of the choices, and you will see a custom display

See the yellow highlighted area; this is the custom type that you created in an earlier section.
