Activate Hyperlinks in Document

If you type an internet address into a document, Word's AutoCorrect options allows you to automatically activate the hyperlink. The person receiving the document can click on the internet address and be taken directly to the website providing the computer is connected to the internet.

Open Word document
Click the Office Button / Word Options at the bottom of the screen
From the left hand column select Proofing
Go to AutoCorrect Options
1.  Click AutoFormat tab
    Click Internet and network paths with hyperlinks check box / OK

2. Click AutoFormat as You Type tab
    Click Internet and network paths with hyperlinks check box / OK
