Gridlines

Office 2007 has drawing gridlines or graphing paper background that appear on the screen in Print Layout View. These gridlines are guides and do not print.

The gridlines can be turned off or on.

Go to View Ribbon / Show/Hide group

To activate or deactivate gridlines
Check or remove check from Gridlines box

To display the gridlines Click Print Layout View

The gridlines are great when text boxes or images are inserted into a document. They are helpful in lining up text, etc.
